Job summary

Evri is seeking an experienced Night Shift Manager to lead the Barnsley Hub during the Night Shift, guiding a busy parcel operation through peak periods. You will own people, performance, safety, service and cost, directing Supervisors and Team Leaders to keep parcels flowing and meet tight deadlines.

You will drive productivity, monitor KPIs, and ensure high service levels while managing costs and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Lead, coach and develop Supervisors and Team Leaders.
• Plan and allocate resource effectively in line with demand.
• Drive productivity, throughput and parcel presentation while meeting cost targets.
• Monitor KPIs and act when performance deviates from plan.
• Maintain health, safety, quality and hygiene standards.
• Data-driven approach with ability to turn insight into action.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day performance of your designated operational area on the Night Shift.
• Lead, coach and develop Supervisors and Team Leaders to build a high-performing team.
• Plan resource allocation to meet changing parcel volumes.
• Drive productivity and service while controlling costs and improving efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs and maintain service levels for customers and clients.
• Manage operational costs and demonstrate financial awareness across your area.
• Support health & safety audits and risk assessments.
• Reduce damages and claims by identifying root causes and improving operational processes.
• Take ownership of Health & Safety, quality and hygiene standards through audits, risk assessments and safe working practices.
• Support operational and Peak planning, preparing your area for changing forecasts and periods of increased volume.
• Work closely with other operational teams to maintain flow across the wider Hub.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality and service.
• Build a culture where colleagues feel supported, accountable and motivated to deliver.
