Job summary

Symington's Ltd. is seeking a Nights Multi-Skilled Engineer with a mechanical bias for our Millerdale site (Bradford BD4 6RX).

The role involves working 6 pm–6 am on a 4 on/4 off pattern, maintaining and repairing production equipment, and supporting continuous operations within a strict safety framework. The ideal candidate will have strong pneumatics, electrical and mechanical knowledge, experience with packaging lines and welding, and a collaborative approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of pneumatic, electrical and mechanical systems used in manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with packaging/bagging lines and checkweighers is a plus.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform root-cause analysis.
• Welding skills (TIG/Welding) and basic fabrication experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance and respond to breakdowns on site.
• Ensure timely completion of PPMs and recording of work performed.
• Investigate root causes of faults and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Lead Engineer and contractors for maintenance activities.
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety and GMP policies.
