Job summary

Lighthouse Care in Prescot is seeking an experienced Female Mental Health Support Worker to join the Nights team. The role runs 8:00pm to 8:00am on full-time and bank contracts, with a focus on safety and client progress.

We provide residential support for adults with complex mental health needs, often with substance misuse. Immediate start is preferred; safeguarding and compassionate, person-centred care are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience supporting adults with complex mental health needs and/or substance misuse.
• Experience working with dual diagnosis.
• Ability to support individuals who may present behaviours that challenge.
• Understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and recovery-focused support.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
• Caring, empathetic and person-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Support residents at night ensuring safety, wellbeing and progress towards individual goals.
• Build positive therapeutic relationships and provide person-centred support.
• Maintain accurate records and respond professionally to situations during shift.
