Our Night Shift Manager is a key role to ensure the smooth running of the Night operation in the Depot; where you will lead teams of Supervisors, Night Loaders, Sorters, and Drivers in processing parcels delivered from client sites into smaller geographic areas for final delivery. The Night Shift Manager is fully accountable for the performance of the shift whilst proactively seeking ways to improve cost, service, and operational efficiency.

1. Manage all areas of the night warehouse sortation in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
2. Ensure depot key KPI’s are achieved, e.g., sortation compliance, vehicle departure times, etc.
3. Manage budgets to achieve the agreed service levels, including productivity, labour costs, overtime, and agency usage.
4. Lead, coach, and develop the supervisors on shift.
5. Adhere to the legal requirements of the ‘O’ Licence.

Essential skills and experience required:

• Transport knowledge, skills, or experience including regulations.
• Management experience of leading and managing a team.
• Ability to work on own initiative in a pressurized environment to tight deadlines.
• PCLiterate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience working in fast-paced logistics.
• Good communicator and able to liaise at all levels.
