Job summary

Grainger & Worrall is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead for night shift at its Bridgnorth site. The role combines hands-on maintenance with team leadership to improve equipment reliability in a highly automated environment.

Reporting to the Head of Maintenance & Facilities, you will prioritise and plan maintenance activities, mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement across plant operations. The position offers a stable 16:00–02:00 shift pattern and strong career development.

Qualifications

• A recognised engineering qualification or significant relevant maintenance experience.
• Experience within a medium or high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Multi‑skilled maintenance experience covering mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with PLC‑controlled equipment, automation or robotic systems.
• Experience using CMMS systems and managing maintenance activities.
• Strong communication and team coordination skills.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Knowledge of modern manufacturing practices, including Lean, TPM or similar methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and supporting a team of maintenance engineers to deliver safe and effective maintenance activities.
• Planning and prioritising reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance work.
• Supporting equipment reliability and improving plant availability across the site.
• Managing maintenance records, work orders and asset information through the CMMS.
• Coaching and developing technical capability within the maintenance team.
• Supporting contractor management, plant installations and engineering projects.
• Identifying continuous improvement opportunities to reduce downtime and improve performance.
