Join Grainger & Worrall as a Maintenance Team Lead and play a key role in a business investing in its engineering future. This is an opportunity to combine hands‑on maintenance expertise with team coordination responsibilities, helping drive equipment reliability across a highly automated manufacturing environment. Working across foundry and machining operations, you’ll support a team of engineers while contributing to continuous improvement, proactive maintenance initiatives and site investment projects.
This role offers the chance to move into a business that values stability and work‑life balance. With a fixed shift pattern, you’ll know exactly when you’re working each week, providing greater consistency than many larger operations where shift arrangements regularly change.
At Grainger & Worrall, we specialise in producing complex cast and precision‑machined solutions for pioneering technologies across diverse industries, including automotive, aerospace, defence, motorsport, and more, highlighting our versatility and commitment to driving future technology development.
Our commitment to engineering excellence and breakthrough innovation was recently recognised with The King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation, our fourth accolade in this prestigious programme. Driven by a team of talented and experienced engineers and specialists, we push boundaries and innovate to bring cutting‑edge ideas to life.
We work with manufacturers of high-performance vehicles, helping them turn ambitious designs and vision into reality. We’re proud to shape the future of engineering.
Reporting to the Head of Maintenance & Facilities, you’ll be responsible for coordinating the day‑to‑day activities of a multi‑skilled maintenance team, ensuring maintenance work is prioritised, planned and completed safely and efficiently. You’ll work closely with production and engineering teams to maximise equipment availability while developing a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Unlike many maintenance positions, this role offers the opportunity to balance reactive support with proactive improvement activity. You’ll contribute towards maintenance strategy, support installation and help shape the future development of the maintenance function as the business continues to invest in its operations.
We’re looking for a multi‑skilled maintenance professional with experience operating within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and the ability to coordinate engineering activity effectively.
We’ll provide you with a supportive and engaging environment where you can grow your skills and further your career. You’ll join a business that values work‑life balance through a fixed shift pattern and offers the opportunity to contribute to site improvements, engineering projects and long‑term operational development, rather than focusing solely on reactive maintenance.
