Job summary

ADM Protexin Ltd, based in Somerset, seeks a multiskilled maintenance engineer for a manufacturing facility. The role covers preventative and corrective maintenance, continuous improvement, and inter-department collaboration to minimise downtime. Shifts run 22:00–06:10 Mon–Thu with a 30-min break, and 20:20–03:40 on Fridays with a break.

Ideal candidates have production/mfg experience and IT literacy to operate the ERP and Office tools. A GMP environment is desirable.

Qualifications

Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred.
GMP/BRC/ISO knowledge desirable but not essential.
Good IT skills to operate ERP and MS Office.
Strong problem solving and adaptability.
Multiskilled engineer with electrical bias.

Responsibilities

Assist Engineering Manager with continuous improvement by recommending changes to prolong machine life, increase efficiency, reduce wastage, and ensure smooth operations.
Carry out Preventative Maintenance as required.
Carry out Corrective Action as required.
Liaise with other departments to minimise downtime and prioritise engineering issues.
Ensure documentation for Corrective Action and Preventative Maintenance is accurate.
Assist with facilities maintenance and development.
