Job summary
Automation Experts in the West Midlands is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer for night shifts to maintain and improve automated manufacturing systems. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.
The role offers a competitive salary (£43,000-£47,000), a shift allowance, pension and life assurance, plus a generous bonus program.
Qualifications
- Must have hands-on fault-finding on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience with PLC automation and control panels.
- Strong problem-solving and practical, hands-on approach.
Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on production machinery and facilities.
- Provide first-line fault finding and repairs to minimise production downtime.
- Work with downtime and OEE data to improve equipment uptime.
- Fault-find across PLC automation, safety systems and control panels.
- Support continuous improvement and project activities.
- Work with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Assist with spare parts management and site maintenance activities.
- Provide technical support when required.
- Mentor apprentices and support their development.
- Maintain machinery in line with TPM schedules and company standards.
