Job summary

Kingdom People is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Night Shift) for our Havant site. The role focuses on maintaining automated production equipment, improving reliability, and driving continuous improvement with ownership of the night shift engineering function.

You will lead planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and support safety and environmental standards while contributing to long-term site performance and efficiency targets.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship with a relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent).
• Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills with mechanical understanding.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
• Knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery and industrial automation.
• Experience of Lean and continuous improvement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults.
• Supporting health, safety and environmental standards.
• Maintaining maintenance procedures and records.
• Driving reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
• Using maintenance data to improve equipment performance.
• Supporting wider engineering and facilities activities when required.
