Job summary

APRIL QUEST LIMITED is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for the night shift on a fast-paced electro-mechanical production facility. You will maintain a 24 hour production line with advanced equipment, lead a small night team and drive improvements through RCA and CI projects.

The role requires time served or HNC in electrical/mechanical/electro-mechanical engineering, with 2–3+ years in a similar maintenance position.

Qualifications

• Time served or HNC (or equivalent) qualification in electrical, mechanical or electro‑mechanical engineering.
• 2–3+ years experience in a similar maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with electrical & electronic systems, sensors, PLCs, robotics and related test equipment.
• Strong problem solving and RCA skills; able to fault find and diagnose quickly.
• Experience with RCA methodologies (SMED, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a 24 hour production line including pick & place, SMT printers, ovens, conveyors and robotics.
• Lead reactive and planned maintenance, plus small CI projects to reduce downtime.
• Provide night shift supervision for one Technician and mentoring where needed.
• Analyse faults, perform root cause analysis and implement robust fixes.
• Identify cost-saving improvements in processes and equipment.
