Job summary

Bars Ltd in London is seeking a Night Porter for our hostel. The role covers guest check-ins, guiding guests about services, handling enquiries, and running the Beds and Bars booking system. It requires availability 11pm–9am and collaboration with the day team on security.

You must be eligible to work in the UK, have a UK bank account, fluent English, and live within travelling distance of the hostel. Prior customer-facing work is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the UK and have necessary documents to be legally employed in the country where you are based.
• Have an up-to-date/active bank account in your own name.
• Be able to converse fluently in English.
• If live-in accommodation is not provided, live within reasonable travelling distance of the hostel.

Responsibilities

• Book guests into the hostel, advising on our offering and services.
• Assist guests with enquiries and questions.
• Manage the Beds and Bars booking system and office administration.
• Ensure an effective handover to the day team.
• Work with the management team on security and safety.
• Advise guests on London attractions.
• Previous experience in a customer-based role is preferred but not essential.
