Job summary

DAF Trucks UK Ltd in Newark is seeking an experienced HGV Technician / Workshop Supervisor for the night shift at our Newark depot. You will manage a team of technicians, supervise workshop activities, and ensure maintenance and diagnostics are completed to manufacturer standards.

The role covers fault diagnostics, MOT prep, safety, and paperwork; requires Level 3 CV maintenance qualification, a full UK driving licence, and own tools. Night hours are Mon-Fri 9:45pm-6:45am.

Qualifications

Apprenticeship or formal training in CV maintenance preferred.
Proven experience as HGV technician or workshop supervisor.
Strong diagnostic and repair skills to manufacturer procedures.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of HGV technicians.
Ensure workshop activities comply with Health & Safety legislation.
Allocate work and complete job cards.
Service and maintain trucks and vehicles; perform fault diagnostics.
MOT preparation and safety inspections.
Carry out repairs to manufacturer's procedures; road test if licensed.
Attend technical trainings and development courses.
