Job summary
Ford & Slater Norwich is seeking an HGV Technician for night shift at our Birtley dealership. You will service and inspect a wide range of trucks, diagnose faults, and ensure repairs meet manufacturer procedures.
The role offers in-house and manufacturer training, extended holiday, and a pension scheme. Ideal candidates will have Level 3 CV maintenance, an apprenticeship, and a full UK driving licence, plus the ability to work safely and efficiently on night shifts from Tuesday to Friday,
Qualifications
- Experience as Technician in HGV or commercial vehicle sectors.
- Apprenticeship or Level 3 CV maintenance and repair.
- Excellent technical knowledge and adherence to manufacturer procedures.
- Strong fault diagnosis ability.
- Ability to perform safety inspections and MOT readiness.
- UK driving licence required.
Responsibilities
- Servicing and maintaining trucks and vehicles.
- Carry out safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOTs.
- Fault diagnostics and repairs to manufacturer procedures.
- Road test vehicles when required, within licence restrictions.
