Job summary

Caledonian Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking an HGV Technician for night shifts in Purfleet-on-Thames. The role covers servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers, with a 4-day week and 7:30pm-6:00am shifts, Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, complete inspections, and keep accurate maintenance records. Overtime is paid at 1.5x and benefits include a pension and 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing and repairing HGVs and trailers.
• Qualifications include IMI Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained to high safety standards.
• Carry out repairs efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Complete maintenance records and paperwork accurately.
