Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Technician to join their Wolverhampton team on night shifts. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles to high standards, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal fleet performance.

We seek qualified technicians with NVQ Level 3, 2+ years on HGVs, and a strong diagnostic mindset. Night shifts Tue-Fri, 6pm–6am, with solid earning potential and career prospects.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working on HGVs.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Class 1 or 2 HGV licence is advantageous.
• Valid right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete thorough vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and DVSA standards.
• Accurately complete job cards and service documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
• Work independently and efficiently during night shifts, Tuesday to Friday, from 6.00 pm to 6.00 am.
