Job summary

Lanes Group PLC is recruiting for a Night HGV Class 2 Drainage Engineer at the Crawley Depot, West Sussex. You will work in two‑person teams on the Southern Water contract, with 50 hours per week and night shifts, supported by full training and PPE.

You will operate high‑pressure water jetting, inspect and restore drainage systems, and use VISTEC, Salesforce and JHL vacuum equipment while maintaining safety standards. A HGV Class 2 licence, CPC and digi tachograph are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a HGV Class 2 licence with CPC and digi tachograph card.
• Experience with high‑pressure jetting is useful but not essential.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential sites in a two‑person team, operating a high‑pressure water jet.
• Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems to restore functionality.
• Record job reports accurately on equipment and systems.
• Run diagnostics and carry out repairs on drainage networks.
• Ensure customer service is delivered to a high standard.
• Adhere to health and safety requirements and PPE guidelines.
