Job summary

Great Bear in Duckmanton is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to join our 24/7 operation, delivering palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres nationwide. This permanent, full-time role offers 4 on 4 off night shifts with a 40.25-hour week and a starting rate of £17.91 per hour, plus overtime at £20.48 per hour.

Qualifications

Valid C+E Licence with current DCPC and Tachograph cards.
6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
Good understanding of Driver’s Hours and Working Time Directive.

Responsibilities

Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, with most deliveries backstage.
Report delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies to the Transport team at shift start.
Complete paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
Follow company health, safety and hygiene standards.
