Job summary

Great Bear in Lutterworth is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to join our 24/7 operation, delivering palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres nationwide. You will report to the Transport team, complete daily paperwork, and maintain high safety and customer service standards during every delivery.

This permanent, full‑time role offers 4 on/4 off shifts starting from 12:00 am, approx 40.25 hours per week, with a £39,126 annual salary including overtime (£27.96 per hour) and access

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence and DCPC/Tachograph cards.
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 experience; new passes not accepted.
• No more than 6 points on licence; no DD/DR convictions.
• Good understanding of Driver’s Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Excellent communication and professional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, often backdoor tip.
• Report delays or load issues promptly to Transport team.
• Complete daily paperwork and ensure PODs are signed.
• Adhere to health, safety and tachograph regulations; keep vehicle checks up to date.
