Great Bear in Minworth is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for a 4 on 4 off day pattern (06:00–18:00). The role involves safe palletised deliveries to regional centres, occasional night outs, and accurate shift handovers.

You’ll report to the Transport team, complete all paperwork, and uphold health and safety standards in a busy 24-hour operation. We offer enhanced pay rates with starting hourly pay of £16.49 plus overtime supplements.

Qualificações

• Valid C+E Licence.
• Minimum 12 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• No more than 6 points on licence; no DD/DR convictions.
• Current DCPC and Tachograph cards.
• Good understanding of Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and professional approach.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, often as backdoor tip.
• Occasional night outs may be required.
• Report delays or issues to the Transport team at shift start and log promptly.
• Complete paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned.
• Follow health and safety procedures and tachograph rules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, appearance and customer service.
