Job summary

Cornerstone Healthcare Group is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant for Kitnocks House in Hampshire. The role involves supporting residents with daily living, promoting independence, and delivering person-centred care in a 63-bed home rated GOOD by the CQC.

We require 12 months’ UK care home experience, strong communication, and a caring, reliable attitude. Night shifts, average 40.25 hours per week, alternate weekends, with a generous benefits package and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• 12 months minimum experience working in nursing and/or care homes, as a healthcare assistant or similar role within the UK (essential)
• A genuine passion for helping others and promoting dignity and independence
• Emotional resilience and a steady head in challenging situations
• Good communication skills (both written & verbal)
• A positive team-focused attitude
• A caring, reliable, and positive attitude
• Willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development
• NVQ Level 2 or working towards it (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of daily living including personal care, mealtimes, and social activities
• Promote independence, choice, and dignity in every interaction
• Observe and report on changes in residents’ health and well-being
• Collaborate with your team to ensure exceptional, person-centred care
