Job summary

Cornerstone Healthcare Group is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant for its UK nursing home. Role involves supporting daily living, personal care, meals, and social activities, with a focus on independence and dignity. You will work within a dedicated team to deliver person-centred care across shifts.

The role requires at least 6 months care home experience, strong communication, and a willingness to train; NVQ2 is desirable. Night shifts and 38.5 hours weekly on a 3/4 pattern offered.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience working in a nursing home (essential).
• NVQ Level 2 or working towards it (desirable).
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of daily living including personal care, mealtimes, and social activities.
• Promote independence, choice, and dignity in every interaction.
• Observe and report on changes in residents’ health and well-being.
• Collaborate with your team to ensure exceptional, person-centred care.
• Communicate openly and respectfully with colleagues, residents, and their loved ones.
