Job summary

Cornerstone Healthcare Group’s Kitnocks House in Hampshire is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant with at least 1 year’s experience in a UK care home. You’ll support residents with dementia or complex needs, and work as part of a dedicated team to deliver person-centered care.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year’s experience working in a nursing home supporting residents with dementia, mental health, elderly or complex care needs within the UK.
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families
• A caring and empathetic approach to residents and their visitors
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)

Responsibilities

• Supporting personal care routines with kindness and respect
• Encouraging residents to take part in social activities and hobbies
• Assisting at mealtimes and making sure dietary needs are met
• Noticing and reporting any changes in wellbeing or behaviour
