Job summary

Waitrose & Partners in Thatcham is looking for a Supermarket Assistant to help deliver our partner-led service and passion for food to customers on every visit.

The role offers varied part-time hours (25 hours per week) across seven days, with a base pay of £13.00 per hour rising to £13.25 after 90 days and a night premium of £3.75 per hour for night shifts. DBS checks may be required, and flexible working options are available.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with customers and team.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is welcomed.
• Interest in food and drink trends.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver to customers' doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns before sell-by dates.
• Working with the wider shop team to support when needed including checkout, Click & Collect, and other orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
