Job summary

Waitrose & Partners in St Ives is seeking a Supermarket Assistant to deliver partner-led service and passion for food to customers on every visit.

You will handle stock replenishment and online order fulfilment, while helping reduce wastage and support the shop team across duties. The role features varied hours (12–16 per week), with a £3.75 night premium between 22:00 and 06:00 and a base pay of £13.00 per hour, rising to £13.25 after 90 days. This is a temporary, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products in the right place.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery to customers’ doors.
• Reducing wastage by following due diligence and marking down products close to sell-by dates.
• Support the wider shop team including checkout help, Click & Collect, and fulfilling on-demand orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
