Job summary

Waitrose & Partners in Chesham is seeking a Supermarket Assistant to deliver Partner-led service and passion for food. You’ll stock shelves, fulfil online orders and help keep store standards high while supporting a busy branch in the evenings and weekends.

You’ll gain night premium on hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00, and join a cooperative environment within the UK’s largest employee-owned business. DBS checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with our customers.
• Experience of working in a customer facing role is welcomed.
• Up to date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to ensure the support of the whole branch.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment – ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver to customers’ doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns on near-dated items.
• Working with the shop team to support checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
