Job summary

Focal Systems is expanding its field operations in the UK and seeks a dedicated Field Service Team Lead to oversee overnight installations at customer sites. You will manage a small team of Field Service Technicians on site, ensuring installations are completed to plan and to company standards.

This 6-month fixed-term contract requires a driving licence, reliable transport, and the ability to travel to sites across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience as Field Service Technician with leadership exposure.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Physical stamina for long shifts (up to 9 hours).
• Attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Effective communication and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of Field Service Technicians on site.
• Install camera hardware and supervise the team.
• Conduct pre-installation site checks and briefings.
• Act as primary on-site customer contact and resolve issues to meet SLAs.
• Review and sign off on installations before handover.
• Maintain installation records using company tools.
• Attend and lead night installations when required.
• Operate power tools safely and enforce safety guidelines.
• Train and mentor team members to develop skills.
• Ensure KPIs for speed and quality are met.
• Communicate progress with supervisors and clients.
