Job summary

Panda is seeking a skilled Fabricator-Welder to join the nightshift Fabrications team in Barkston. You will repair, maintain and refurbish waste containers to high standards, ensuring safety, functionality and presentability for customer use.

The role involves welding, fabrication and repair work, contributing to the smooth running of the fabrication yard and wider maintenance operations in a hands-on, quality-focused environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Fabrication & Welding required or equivalent
• Proven MIG welding experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience with grinders and cutting equipment
• Strong health & safety awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Reliable and proactive with good problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Carry out welding, grinding, cutting, burning and general fabrication duties
• Repair and maintain waste containers to a safe and presentable standard
• Maintain machinery and equipment, report defects promptly
• Collaborate with welding Fabrications team and approved contractors
• Keep work areas hazard-free and maintain housekeeping
• Submit logs, tool checks and inspection reports as required
• Communicate professionally with customers and site personnel
