Job summary

Panda in Leeds is seeking a skilled Fabricator-Welder to join our busy fabrication yard on a night shift. You’ll repair, fabricate and refurbish waste containers to high standards, ensuring safety and reliability for customers.

Ideal candidates have MIG welding experience, read drawings and work well in a team, with a strong focus on quality and safe working practices. A valid UK driving licence is helpful though not mandatory.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fabrication & Welding or equivalent
• Proven MIG welding experience
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Experience using grinders and cutting equipment
• Good understanding of workshop health and safety practices
• Strong practical and mechanical skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Carry out welding, grinding, cutting, burning and general fabrication duties
• Repair and maintain waste containers to ensure safe and functional condition
• Maintain machinery, tools and equipment to a high standard
• Collaborate with the welding and fabrication team and approved contractors
• Ensure work areas are hazard-free and maintain good housekeeping
• Complete and submit log sheets, tool checks and inspection reports
• Communicate professionally with customers and site personnel
