Job summary

Superdrug is seeking a proactive Operations Team Leader at the Stead House Distribution Centre in Darlington. You will support shift managers, lead a team in a fast-paced DC environment, and drive operational efficiency while ensuring safe working practices and timely handovers.

You will motivate and develop staff, manage KPIs, and collaborate with health & safety teams to maintain high standards. The role operates on a Monday–Friday night shift pattern with 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Ability to coach and develop staff to perform duties efficiently.
• Accountability for KPIs and communicating status to management.
• Ability to review and improve processes to maximise efficiencies.
• Experience working with Health & Safety teams on risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of people management within area, liaising with shift manager and people team.
• Motivate, coach and develop team to perform duties efficiently.
• Own KPI accountability within your area and report regularly.
• Develop processes to maximise operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate with Health & Safety to update safe systems of work.
• Deliver effective shift handovers and progress updates.
