Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Rochester is seeking a Class 2 Driver for a night-shift role with starts at 10pm, Monday to Friday. You will perform multi-drop deliveries of automotive parts to dealerships, aiming for safe, punctual arrivals. The job pays £17.66 per hour and offers a temp-to-perm pathway.

Key duties include night-time multi-drop deliveries, operating safely, and using handheld scanners. Hoisted responsibilities cover vehicle checks and excellent customer service across routes.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Newly qualified drivers welcome with right attitude.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements.
• Good knowledge of the UK road network.
• ADR qualification is preferred but not essential.
• Reliable, professional, and customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy delivery schedule.

Responsibilities

• Complete night-time multidrop deliveries of car parts to dealerships and automotive customers.
• Carry out an average of 12-14 deliveries per day within similar postcode areas.
• Operate your vehicle safely and in line with company and legal requirements.
• Use a pallet truck to unload pallets when a customer forklift operator is unavailable.
• Use handheld scanners and complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance and roadworthiness.
• Deliver excellent customer service at all delivery locations.
