DPD is seeking a Class 1 Shunter to manage nocturnal yard operations. You will maneuver trailers and tug units with precision, log every transition in our systems, and uphold strict safety standards.

You will act as a key link between the warehouse and fleet drivers, ensuring loading bays are optimised and departure schedules met. Occasional inventory tasks or short-haul local runs may be required.

Qualificações

• Class 1 LGV licence (C+E) and a current Driver CPC are required.
• Thrives in fast-paced environments and cares about safety and compliance.
• Physically fit and able to handle demanding yard operations.
• Comfortable with basic digital logging (no paper mountains).

Responsabilidades

• Precision maneuvering of trailers and tug units within the yard with high accuracy.
• Maintain logs of trailer movements using internal systems and perform pre-use inspections.
• Coordinate with warehouse and fleet drivers to ensure efficient loading bays and on-time departures.
• Assist with inventory tasks or short-haul local runs during peak periods.
