Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a General Assistant to support kitchen operations, food preparation, and customer service. The role includes meal assembly, maintaining hygiene, and assisting with deliveries and events.

The ideal candidate will have customer service skills, good time management, and organisational abilities, with a Right to Work in the UK. Training for food hygiene Level 2 can be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial kitchens is valued but not essential.
• Basic Catering & Hospitality cert such as Food Handling is desirable but not essential—training can be provided.
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities are required.
• Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
• Food hygiene Level 2 desirable but training can be supplied.

Responsibilities

• Help with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, trimming, and making sandwiches and salads.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area and equipment; clean utensils, tableware and catering stations.
• Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries; keep food and supply storage areas organised.
• Serve food items to customers according to the menu; may host/waiter at events.
• Top up vending services.
