Job summary

Kitnocks House, part of Cornerstone Healthcare Group, is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join a 63-bed facility providing person-centred care for residents with complex needs, including dementia and mental health conditions. You will support daily living and work as part of a friendly team to maintain dignity and independence.

The role requires at least 12 months UK care home experience, good communication, and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• 12 months minimum experience working in nursing and/or care homes, as a healthcare assistant or similar role within the UK (essential)
• Genuine passion for helping others and promoting dignity and independence
• Emotional resilience and a steady head in challenging situations
• Good communication skills (both written & verbal)
• A positive team-focused attitude
• A caring, reliable, and positive attitude
• Willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development
• NVQ Level 2 or working towards it (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of daily living including personal care, mealtimes, and social activities
• Promote independence, choice, and dignity in every interaction
• Observe and report on changes in residents’ health and well-being
• Collaborate with your team to ensure exceptional, person-centred care
• Communicate openly and respectfully with colleagues, residents, and their loved ones
