Job summary

Cornerstone Healthcare Group are seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join Kitnocks House, a 63-bed care home specialising in dementia, mental health conditions and complex needs. We require at least one year of experience in a care home and a genuine commitment to dignity, independence and high-quality, person-centred care.

Shifts run day pattern 07:30–20:00, averaging about 40.25 hours per week with alternate weekends, and a benefits package worth up to £5,000.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year’s experience in a care home supporting residents with dementia, mental health, elderly or complex care needs (essential).
• Genuine passion for helping others and promoting dignity and independence.
• Emotional resilience and a steady head in challenging situations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive team-focused attitude and reliability.
• Willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development.
• NVQ Level 2 or working towards it (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Support daily living including personal care, meals, and social activities.
• Promote independence, choice, and dignity in every interaction.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health and well-being.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure person-centred care.
• Communicate openly and respectfully with colleagues, residents and loved ones.
