As an Engineer, you’ll perform preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, diagnose faults with advanced tools, read technical drawings, and contribute to safety and DVSA standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in PSV or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
• Experience as PSV Engineer, HGV Technician, Bus Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Engineer.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills in a workshop or fleet environment.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on buses, PSVs, vehicles, and engineering equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Complete repairs, modifications, and upgrades in line with DVSA, safety, and engineering standards.
• Support fleet reliability through fault finding and technical problem solving.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation.
• Work collaboratively with workshop teams, supervisors, and operational departments.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and apprentices where required.
