Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting for a temporary, ongoing 7.5t Driver role in Chelmsford. The position primarily involves night shifts with some day shifts, operating 7.5-tonne vehicles between distribution centres and customer sites. Hourly pay ranges from £17.55 to £27.52.

Applicants must hold a valid UK C1 licence and Driver CPC with a Digital Tachograph Card, and have experience in logistics. The role requires reliability, safety awareness and accurate delivery paperwork completion.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C1 driving licence.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• Experience with 7.5t vehicles and logistics environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate 7.5t vehicles on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Load and unload vehicles and secure all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining communication with the operations team.
• Follow road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Handle multiple drops per shift depending on route.
