The role emphasizes strong communication, team leadership, and the ability to manage night-time routines with empathy, patience, and flexibility. An L3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care and DBS clearance are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience as a Care Assistant in residential care.
• Completed an L3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care
• A compassionate and caring nature
• Excellent communication skills and ability to use IT systems
• Ability to lead and motivate staff members
• Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• A flexible approach to working hours
• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, individualised care and support to residents during the night, supervising and leading the shift and team members.
• Promote residents' privacy, dignity and independence and work with the team to create a happy, caring atmosphere.
• Give detailed handovers to morning team and assist residents with bedtime routines as needed.
