MHA is recruiting a Senior Care Assistant (Nights) for The Herons care home in Toton, Nottingham. The role leads night shifts and supports the Home Manager to deliver high-quality, person-centred care with dignity.

You will deputise when needed, supervise staff, assist with care planning and medication administration, and help maintain a safe, respectful home environment for residents.

Formación

• Experience leading a shift or deputising for a manager.
• Strong IT skills including email and basic office systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Willingness to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care if not already held.

Responsabilidades

• Take temporary charge of the home during the absence of other senior colleagues, ensuring smooth day-to-day running.
• Lead, support and supervise care staff to meet required standards and develop skills.
• Provide hands-on care and health supervision while promoting dignity, privacy and choice.
• Support the Home Manager with governance, record-keeping and audits.
• Administer medications where delegated according to policy.
• Support care planning, key working and development of meaningful activities.
• Carry out 1:1s, supervisions and appraisals as per policy.
• Promote health, safety, fire and infection prevention practices.
• Be flexible to cover shifts, on-call duties and occasional travel for meetings or training.
