Job summary

Etive House Care Home Limited in the Oban area seeks a Senior Care Assistant to guide the care team and ensure high-quality, person-centred care for residents. You will supervise shifts, oversee medication, monitor wellbeing, and maintain care records with families and healthcare professionals for continuity of care.

The role requires SVQ2 (minimum) with Level 3 desirable, competency in medication administration, and strong communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

Senior Care Assistant Contract

Located in the beautiful village of Benderloch by Oban, we offer small group living accommodation for up to 62-residents.

• Up to £15.10 per hour
• Contracted to up to 44 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
