Job summary

Preston City Council is seeking six Rough Sleeper Support Workers to join the team. You will work across multiple sites with flexible shifts from 3pm to 8am, supporting rough sleepers and helping them begin the journey toward recovery. A compassionate, solution-focused approach is essential.

The role is a fixed-term contract for 24 months, with a salary of £31,022 to £32,597 per year. The team offers hybrid working after probation and a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working with rough sleepers or in care settings.
• Strong empathy and ability to communicate clearly.
• Comfortable with flexible evening/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide support services to rough sleepers across multiple sites.
• Create a safe space to start the journey out of rough sleeping.
• Work with individuals to connect them with pathways to recovery.
