Job summary

North Northamptonshire Council is seeking an experienced Rough Sleep Support Worker to join the homelessness team on a 3-month contract, with an ASAP start. The role involves outreach to rough sleepers, helping access accommodation and specialist support services across North Northamptonshire.

You will complete assessments, develop tailored support plans, and work with partner organisations to secure positive outcomes while maintaining records and safeguarding individuals.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting rough sleepers or homeless individuals.
• Knowledge of homelessness legislation and related services.
• Strong safeguarding and risk management understanding.

Responsibilities

• Engage with rough sleepers via outreach across North Northamptonshire.
• Complete assessments and develop tailored support plans for housing.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to achieve outcomes.
• Occasional out-of-hours outreach as needed.
• Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately.
• Maintain accurate case records and reports per requirements.
