Job summary

Bracknell Forest Council has a vacancy for a Rough Sleeper Prevention Officer. This full-time, fixed-term 18-month contract involves outreach to rough sleepers, coordinating with partner agencies to provide wraparound support and secure accommodation where possible.

You will work 37 hours per week with hybrid working options and some remote work, based at Time Square office 2-3 days per week. Internal candidates may be offered secondment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach and weekly visits to rough sleepers in Bracknell Forest.
• Complete Part 7 Housing assessments for singles/rough sleepers and those being released from custody homelessness.
• Assist rough sleepers into alternative housing when other options are exhausted.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify complex needs and coordinate with relevant agencies.
• Engage with rough sleepers to ensure mental health needs are supported by external agencies.
