A local council in the UK is seeking a Night Residential Care Worker to provide care and support in a therapeutic Children’s Home. The successful candidate will be responsible for nurturing relationships with children aged 11-18, promoting their well-being, and ensuring adherence to safeguarding legislations. This role involves organizing activities and creating a warm, safe environment. Applicants should be caring, professional, and able to work as part of a dedicated team, available for night shifts.

Night Residential Care Worker to work in a new therapeutic Children’s Home in North Powys supporting 3 children/young people (Age 11-18) with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties due to their early life experience. As part of a dedicated team, you will create a safe home that will improve placement stability and parenting capacity to support children and young people with the most complex needs to achieve positive outcomes.

Night Residential Care Workers will work a rota of night cover to provide care and support on shift in the week and at weekends.
Your role will be responsible for promoting healthy, safe routine and creating a warm, inclusive home under the direction of the Registered Manager.
Undertaking key worker tasks and responsibilities as directed. To actively promote, participate in and ensure the provision of high standards of physical care, hygiene, safety and welfare of all children and young people.
You will be part of a team that organises, encourages, and shares activities inside and outside, including activities such as maintaining the gardens, creating a vegetable patch and responsibility for the care, feeding and welfare of small animals.
Work in partnership with families and carers of young people in achieving the aims and objectives of the young people’s plans.
To ensure that The All Wales Safeguarding procedures and all relevant legislation and regulations including the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014 and Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 are adhered to at all times. To keep up to date with new developments, practice, and legislation in childcare.
