Job summary

BrewDog is seeking a Night Receptionist for its Doghouse Hotel in Edinburgh. You’ll ensure guest safety and deliver top-notch service throughout the night, coordinating with bar and housekeeping to maintain smooth operations.

You’ll manage room service, light food handling, and routine checks while staying calm under pressure and providing a welcoming experience for all guests.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused professional with strong communication skills.
• Organised, detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
• Able to work independently during overnight shifts.
• Experience in front-of-house or hotel reception is a plus.
• Comfortable with basic IT systems and night audit tasks.

Responsibilities

• Serve room service and handle food on 24hr menu.
• Coordinate with bar and housekeeping to ensure smooth operation.
• Complete cleaning tasks and safety/standards checks during shift.
• Assist with light setup for the day ahead and night safety procedures.
• In emergencies, evacuate guests safely and calmly.

About The Role

BREWDOG ARE ON THE HUNT FOR ANIGHTRECEPTIONISTFOR OUR DOGHOUSE HOTEL!

We're really excited to be recruiting for this varied role in our completely beer centric hotel! In this role you'll be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our guests throughout the night, as well as giving the highest levels of customer service.

Duties will include, serving room service to guests, food handling to dish up our 24hr hot dog menu, working with the bar and housekeeping teams to ensure the operation is running as smoothly as possible. You will also be responsible for some cleaning tasks. You'll also be responsible for safety checks, and standards checks throughout the shift, as well as some light set up duties for the day ahead.

In the event of an emergency, it would be your responsibility to safely evacuate the guests.

You'll be working closely with the management and housekeeping teams to ensure our guests are welcomed into a stand-out venue.

About You

We are looking for a professional, reliable, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Night Receptionist. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently during overnight shifts, delivering exceptional guest service while ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the hotel throughout the night.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to welcome guests, handle enquiries, and resolve issues in a calm and professional manner. They will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks, including food handling, reservations, night audit procedures, and administrative duties.
