Job summary

East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Community Nurse to join the Unplanned Care Night Team as a part-time Band 6 nurse. The role focuses on urgent, integrated community care during night hours across Bedfordshire, with cross-cover between North and South Bedfordshire as needed.

You will conduct initial history taking, clinical assessment, and triage, delivering high-quality nursing care to housebound patients, including End of Life and catheter management, while

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with community experience.
• Significant/recent Band 6+ level experience.
• Experience in triage and urgent care.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Triage and assess referrals to the Unplanned Care Night Team.
• Conduct initial history taking and clinical assessment of patients.
• Provide nursing care to housebound patients, including End of Life and catheter management.
• Coordinate with Out of Hours services and other palliative care teams.
• Work across Bedfordshire North/South areas and drive between sites.
