The Black Swan Inn in Helmsley, a landmark historic inn, is seeking a reliable Night Porter to welcome guests, check in/out, and help keep the night-time operations smooth. You’ll patrol, respond to inquiries, assist in the restaurant and bar areas, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for guests.

Ideal candidates are friendly, with strong communication, able to work independently through the night, and organised to maintain high standards of guest service.

• Ability to work independently and stay organised at night

Responsibilities

• Greet and check guests in and out
• Assist with inquiries at reception, bar or over the phone
• Serve guests professionally and help keep restaurant, lounge and facilities clean
• Prepare restaurant for breakfast service and set up buffet
• Patrol premises to ensure safety and security
