Job summary

ABode Canterbury is seeking a Night Porter for a part-time position. You will ensure guest safety overnight, support the restaurant team at breakfast, and maintain a clean, welcoming ambience.

The role includes completing nightly checks, handovers to day staff, and being a visible, helpful presence for guests throughout the night. We offer a supportive team culture with flexible rotas, service charge sharing, and staff perks.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keeping the hotel and all of our guests safe overnight.
• Compliance is important, meaning you'll keep on top of the nightly audits.
• You'll answer any questions our guests may have overnight.
• A handover is very important, so that our day staff know what happened overnight.
• We're all responsible for keeping the hotel looking perfect for our guests, so a little tidying overnight is essential.
• You’ll help the restaurant team, by getting the restaurant laid for breakfast.
