Job summary

Lochgreen House Hotel, part of the RAD Hotel Group, is seeking a reliable Night Porter to join the team in Troon, Scotland. This hands-on role supports overnight operations, upholds guest safety, and delivers friendly service during night hours.

You’ll set up event spaces, assist with late check-ins, carry out security checks, handle luggage, provide bar service, and complete night audit procedures, contributing to a welcoming, well-run hotel culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar hospitality or hotel role is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative, and remain calm under pressure.
• Flexible and reliable with night shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up wedding and event spaces for weddings, conferences, and special occasions.
• Assisting guests with late check-ins and check-outs, responding promptly to requests and enquiries.
• Carrying out regular security and safety checks to ensure guest wellbeing.
• Assisting with luggage, deliveries, and maintaining a clean, organised environment.
• Providing bar service during the night shift in a friendly and professional manner.
• Completing night audit procedures and balancing daily financial records accurately.
• Reporting maintenance issues, incidents, or security concerns to the appropriate departments.
• Supporting other departments to ensure smooth overnight operations.

As Night Porter, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the hotel during overnight hours, maintaining high standards of service, safety, and presentation at all times.
