Job summary

The Lensbury in Teddington invites applications for a night shift housekeeping role. You will clean, reset rooms, move furniture and stock supplies to ensure event spaces are ready for guests each morning.

We value reliability, high cleaning standards and the ability to work independently through night shifts while supporting the wider operation as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel housekeeping or similar role is preferred.
• Ability to work independently during night shifts.
• Strong cleaning and presentation standards.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, clean and reset meeting rooms and event spaces according to bookings.
• Maintain high cleanliness in meeting rooms, refreshment areas and back-of-house.
• Move furniture and equipment to support meetings and events.
• Ensure rooms stocked with stationery, flipcharts and materials.
• Prepare and tidy refreshment stations and beverage areas.
• Support room turnover and event preparation to readiness.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and keep kitchen/service areas clean.
• Manage waste disposal, recycling and consumables replenishment.
• Keep storerooms organised and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Follow safety guidelines and escalate concerns as needed.

Part of Iconic Hotels and Resorts, The Lensbury is located on the Banks of the River Thames at Teddington and is home to an exclusive leisure club, a 156 bedroom hotel, meeting and events space, restaurant and bar, Spa and 25 acres of gardens and grounds.

The Role

Working independently during night shifts with support of Night Duty Manager, this is a hands-on role involving cleaning, room resets, furniture movement, stock replenishment and general housekeeping duties. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards and ensuring all event spaces are ready for guests each morning.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, clean and reset meeting rooms and event spaces in line with booking requirements and room plans.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout meeting rooms, event spaces, refreshment areas and back-of-house locations.
• Arrange and move furniture and equipment to support meetings, conferences and events.
• Ensure meeting rooms are stocked with required stationery, flipcharts, whiteboard pens and presentation materials.
• Prepare, replenish and clean refreshment stations, coffee points and beverage service areas.
• Support room turnover and event preparation to ensure spaces are ready for use.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain cleanliness and hygiene within kitchen and service areas.
• Manage waste disposal, recycling and replenishment of consumables and operational supplies.
• Keep storerooms organised, secure and stocked, ensuring equipment, furniture and supplies are stored safely.
• Report maintenance issues, damage, defects and health and safety concerns, ensuring corrective action is taken where appropriate.
