Job summary

The Lensbury in Teddington, Middlesex, seeks a part-time Housekeeping Assistant to join our team, ensuring guest rooms and public areas are spotless and inviting with a focus on high standards and safety.

The role requires independent work, strong time management, and clear guest communication, offering a supportive environment and shift patterns, including 8:30-16:30 or 9:30-17:30, with free meals per shift and onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping is preferred.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong time management skills to ensure tasks are completed within designated timeframes.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy all assigned areas, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels and amenities
• Vacuum carpets and sweep/mop floors
• Dust and polish furniture and fixtures
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms
• Empty trash and replace garbage bags
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
• Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and safety
• Assist with housekeeping duties in public areas, e.g. function rooms and ground floor lounges

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy all assigned areas, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels and amenities
• Vacuum carpets and sweep/mop floors
• Dust and polish furniture and fixtures
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms

• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
• Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and safety
• Assist with Housekeeping duties in public areas, e.g. general cleaning of function rooms, ground floor public areas such as lounges, etc.
